Philosophy

I’m Erin, a mama of three, women’s health advocate, yoga instructor, personal trainer and triathlete.

I love to move and I enjoy many different kinds of movement. I enjoy a sweaty run or a beautiful hike and I often feel giddy when I take off on a bike ride. I feel powerful and strong when I lift weights, I find peace when I practice yoga, and I truly enjoy trying new things (A little secret: new things can also make me feel nervous!). The bottom line: movement is what makes me feel whole. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy relaxing and reading a book. But let’s get real, I have 3 kids under 8, so there isn’t a whole lot of reading these days!

I am more than these descriptions above, just like any of you reading this have many roles in life. When I became a mother in 2009, I had a different mindset than I do today. I jumped right back into triathlon training and everything else very quickly after having a c-section!

It makes me cringe when I think about it now. Yet after birthing three children and devoting a great deal of time to studying women and the postpartum body, I have a new outlook on working with women. Postpartum is HARD. One of my goals is to make it better. There is  SO MUCH information that I wish I knew then about caring for your body after birth. Another one of my goals is to instill more confidence in women. I am surrounded by hundreds of intelligent, capable, beautiful women in my life, yet too many of them weigh their own happiness (no pun intended) on the the size of their waist or hips. Life is too short. Let’s celebrate our bodies and all that they do for us. Many of us have grown and birthed babies, climbed mountains and crossed finish lines. The female body is incredible and we must honor and protect it.

Movement, good food, great company, these are the things that make me happy. Not much excites me more than helping women feel stronger and more confident in their own skin!
